Neomai is the team leader for Outcome Area 2: Ending Violence Against Women. Her work includes providing support to Pacific countries on the development of legislation, policy and its implementation, and access to justice and capacity building with the justice sector. In addition, Neomai also has a focus on ensuring that Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression are mainstreamed in RRRT’s work. She has over 10 years’ experience in the areas of human rights and development, and violence against women in both Fiji and the Pacific region. Prior to joining RRRT, Neomai was a Human Rights Training Officer with the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement, with a specific focus on women’s human rights in Fiji, as well as building capacity of women across Fiji on the law and access to justice particularly in the area of Family Law. Neomai initially began her career in private practice with Siwatibau and Sloan Barristers and Solicitors. She holds a Master in Diplomacy and International Affairs, and a Bachelor in Law and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific. Neomai is a Fijian National.
